Ways To Get Your Gym Mojo Back

SOOO... this is something that so many of us girls struggle with, actually finding the motivation to go the gym, or work out of some sort!  We all just wanna lie around and eat chocolate and chips and pizza.. well at least I do.. but still want to look like a Victorias Secret model. But, sadly, lying around looking at hot girls doesn't get us anywhere.

Last year I was a massive gym freak, lost just over 1 stone and was fitter than I'd ever been before!  Then two holidays in the space of a month came along.. and sort of caused me to put some weight back on.. which I expected anyway.  Then university came along, which was fine during my first and second year when living at university, but during my third year living back at home, the amount of work and the time it took for travelling and my job I worked during my spare time caused me to not go to the gym for around 6 months, which was very depressing!

Egypt Last Summer:

So now university is very nearly finished, I now have time to get fit again before my holiday in 11 weeks.  So how do I find the motivation after so long to get myself back down the gym, and trust me.. it's been an extremely hard task!

1, Go with a friend
Although I haven't been with a friend this time around, I did start last year going with people, and eventually just went on my own.  When you've agreed to do something with a friend, your much less likely to let them down, as you are to let yourself down (as sad as that is).  And if you do ditch your friend.. they will not be happy with you, and an unhappy friend is something no-one wants haha! And plus, you don't want your fit friend looking way hotter than you on pictures haha!

2, Book some classes
Get yourself down to the nearest leisure centre, or boot camp, or fitness club.. and actually book classes in advance! This has helped me so much this time around.  When you've booked classes in advance, you schedule it in much more than you would just going for a run or the gym. You feel so much more obliged to go to a booked class than just going to the gym.

3, Buy some new sassy gymwear
One of the best things to do is get yourself some new gymwear! New pair of trainers, some cute little top.. anything new that you love you will want to wear! And the only way you can wear your new gym stuff is by getting down the gym haha!  I did this a lot last year, and every time I did I was literally so excited for it to be delivered or for me to wear it for the first time it made me actually excited for the gym, WHAT?!

4, Get some little home equipment
The biggest off put for me tends to be driving to the gym.  When I'm actually there, I love it.. but the thought of having to get into my car and go out and drive 15 minutes there and the same again back just seriously puts me down!  The best thing to do sometimes is to just do it from home. Either go for a run, or buy some little kettlebells, a mat, skipping rope and other little bits and bobs, and just do it in your garden or in a biggish room.  There are so many little exercise routines on the internet, they are so easy to follow that it sometimes feels more like a workout than going for a run on the treadmill!

5, DON'T GIVE UP!
The biggest mistake people do is by giving up too early! They do a week down the gym, check their weight on the scales, see no difference and just leave it there! As tempting as it is, and trust me.. I've wanted to do that many times.. just KEEP GOING! Normally, other people can't see a difference until about 8 weeks after you start working out, which is two months! Most times I've restarted working out again people have started to notice in a couple of weeks, but these things always take time, so just stick at it! :)

This just goes to show how long it can take sometimes, this is over a years difference, and around 1.5 stone.
